How do I sign up for lessons?
Signing up for lessons is incredibly simple. The first step is to fill out a simple registration form on our sign up page and a member of our team will be in touch with you to schedule a phone conversation to discuss your needs and wishes. We will explain everything that you will need to schedule a trial lesson, which is the most important step in determining if the teacher is the right choice for you. After that, you can decide to sign up for regular lessons and choose the format the you prefer. Don’t worry, we can help with that, too!
Are your teachers qualified?
Our teachers are hand-picked, possess advanced degrees in music performance or education, and have years of experience with students of all ages and levels. Music School 21 CEO Rok Palcic has devoted his life to providing an exceptional music education, creating tailored lesson plans that he has devised while pursuing his four graduate degrees, as well as teaching and lecturing since 2010. Please feel free to see what current and former parents and students are saying about their experience, which will provide some additional peace of mind.
Should I consider online lessons?
We became all too familiar with Zoom and other video platforms in 2020, and we understand the hesitancy in choosing this format. However, parents or prospective students need to consider that individual (one-on-one) lessons differ inherently from large group classes, allowing teachers to focus on their students 100% of the time. The rise in popularity of online learning was an overwhelming success for us and our students, not in a small part due to the experience that our teachers have gathered from conducting lessons remotely since well before the pandemic. Based on years of data and positive experiences, we have concluded that they are in most circumstances an equivalent substitute for in-person lessons. If you want to read more about it, please feel free to consult this article.
That being said, in-home lessons are still the prime choice for most students. We would be happy to get you started!
How much do lessons cost?
Lesson rates vary based on duration and format. We kindly ask you to sign up and a member of our team will be in touch shortly with accurate rates, not to mention any other question that you might have.
What is the difference between lessons and courses?
Private studio lessons are the backbone of a solid music education. By meeting with their private teacher on a weekly basis, students learn new concepts and work based on a lesson plan in order to grow their knowledge and skills over the course of the school year. Courses offer either an introduction to the world of music or help complement regular lessons, helping them reinforce concepts introduced in private lessons. Our music theory and ear training courses are an ideal addition to regular lessons, helping students progress at a far faster rate.
